So what is WeCARE?
WeCARE is an award winning learning campaign designed to be implemented across your entire organisation, taking a local leader led approach, enabling team members to show they care and know how to approach and support their colleagues.
It begins with a 20-minute eLearning course, and is amplified by a Guidebook, poster, moodometer wallet card and just-in-time help sheets.
If you need an immediate solution, you can enrol one or more in the eLearning now. Then follow up with our campaign collateral or your own (guidebooks, posters, wallet cards, just-in-time support resources and ‘take action’ email prompts).

We can customise most facets of the training and campaign materials, including the eLearning, all print materials and running launch events, face-to-face training for managers / facilitators and connecting you with our Care Crew Network or partners in Employee Assistance Program, Mental Health First Aid and coaches.

The WeCARE eLearning Course is designed to

- Know how to ask R U OK? with empathy
- Guide people to the help they need
WeCARE eLearning can plug into your organisation’s existing Learning Management System (LMS) or you can use our own online portal which can be easily viewed on a phone, tablet or laptop.
The WeCARE program follows the ICARE framework
- Guidance on how to find a mental health savvy GP, prepare for a mental health discussion, and to see a psychologist.
- Encouraging the manager and teammates to stay in contact with the distressed employee
- Encourage regular exercise as a critical strategy.
We have developed a lot of resources to help you support your whole organisation, wherever they are, all year, from digital, to print, to job aides.
To build mentally healthy workplaces, we can’t stop at ‘one off training events’. We have to roll out learning campaigns and care 365.
Benefit of WeCARE blended learning
The Ebbinghaus forgetting curve reveals that we forget 75% of what we learn in one week unless it is reinforced with ongoing reminders.
WeCARE provides a spaced learning approach. By connecting learners to practical content, led by local leaders, accessible from any device, support given in print and digital form, and reminders used, over time, spaced learning enhances recall (Journal of Neuroscience 3 July 2019, Spaced Learning Enhances Episodic Memory by Increasing Neural Pattern Similarity Across Repetitions).

Having worked with many large organisations, he recognised a common need for more support and training to create mentally healthy workplaces.
Brenden Carter is the Founder and Creative Director of The Learning Hook, a longstanding, multi-award winning elearning solutions company.
